Completed Projects

  1. Design and development of solar dryers for drying of fish

  • This dryer was being used by the fisherwomen in the coastal areas of south Odisha which is involved in technology-based and market-linked sustainable livelihood security of fisherwomen and it has a capacity of 20kg/ day to dry fish products.
  • It was a consultancy project, under VIEWS in 2015) and Revenue generated - Rs 1.5 lakh and it was patented.

  1. Solar operated pesticide sprayer

    • The main objective of this project is to design and fabricate the solar-powered agricultural pesticide sprayer by considering parameters like desired spraying capacity, low weight, low cost, user-friendly nature, high operating time, and faster coverage of the area. This was published in the Scopus journal.

3. The low smoke portable combustion furnace

  • The primary objective of the invention is to design a portable combustion furnace that emits less smoke and to design a low smoke combustion furnace that can be used efficiently in outdoor cooking such as schools, hotels, residential areas, and the like.
  • The other objective of the invention is to provide a portable combustion furnace with a significant reduction in carbon emissions and is to provide a biomass fuelled portable combustion furnace and this was patented.

  4.Solar Operated Ready to Serve Sugarcane Juicer Machine

  • To provide a clarified juice by passing through centrifugal force technique.
  • To prepare the proper cooling of juice by using the Peltier cell concept. It was patented

  • To ensure the lighting is provided promptly, automatically, and for a suitable time.
